I recently watched an episode of Gary Vaynerchuk’s Daily Grape and wanted to try one of the wines he reviewed. I went to a local wine shop and looked around, but had no luck finding it. When I asked the salesperson, she told me, and I quote, “Sorry dude, we don’t have that.” She then looked back down at the papers she had in her hand and walked away. She didn’t offer to help me find something similar. She didn’t ask about the wine I wanted to suggest something along the same lines. She didn’t even offer to order it for me. She did nothing and I was left to fend for myself in the middle of the store. Surrounded by wines I didn’t know and with no discernible direction to go, I left.
